Excitement builds as my trip to the states nears and my plans to visit some of the wolf sanctuaries there start to feel like a reality, rather than just a wish. In current times it is sad that without establishments like this, fighting the cause, providing public education and encouraging a sustainable conservation some people would quite happily have these species eradicated.
The wolf, a profound canid species with strong social and family bonds. Misunderstood and at the mercy of man as per usual. A man could have it all and it would never be enough. Find something else to blame for their own failings and evict it. Same old same.
To howl loud like a wolf amongst man, to stand apart. To realise the importance of life and the roles we all play within it, maybe then we could find peace in ourselves.
