Lifeform.

As natural as the leaves that fall to the floor.
As sacred as what goes on behind a closed door.
As quiet as the beating of moths wings at dusk.
As earthy and strong as an elephant in musth.
The turning of our world,
The too and fro of tides.
The laughter and tears we cry,
We all live a life and die.

With Me.

It's hard to say goodbye,
When you're with me every single day.
From the top of my head, to the tip of my toes
In every single way.

My Silly Valentine

Well, it's that most terrible of commercial days again. I made it past the doormat without any worry of tripping hazards. Even at work the florists delivery guy didn't bother to stop, he just drove on by.

Poor little empty hearted me and if you're sharing in my grief, I extend my pity to you too!

So in a stylish two finger salute to Mr Valentine, Eros and Cupid and in fact anyone else who has a warped bow and arrow or cardiomyopathy, I'd like share some silly stuff. I'm inviting you to share your silly Valentine/anti Valentine, loved up slushed up poetry too. Don't let me down guys, the consequences just aren't worth it!

Ode to Grohl ~ by me

Oh Dave you are a god,
You are the man for me.
I'd do anything to impress you,
I'd even climb I tree.

Sending you all palpitations and flutters of excitement. X

Your turn! ;)

Skin and Bones

You suit your bones
And the skin you live in.

Your hair frames your face,
The contours of your flushed cheeks.

You smile with your eyes,
As thoughts dance across your mind.

Sinuous and strong,
You suit your skin, it holds you all in.

Daisy, Daisy

I'm admittedly enamored by cats! Big small, domestic, wild, captive its all the same feline attitude.

I was once told they are great healers and are drawn to those who need them. My art mentor is a prime example of a attracting a smitten kitty, but only since he got seriously ill. His girlfriends cat rarely leaves his side when he gets home now.

Equally though they are drawn to those who seem repelled by felines, perhaps it's a morbid curiosity. After all curiosity did apparently kill the cat!

My mum recently agreed to foster a cat, called Daisy. One day I walked in to the maternal home to find the weeniest little kitten. Very cute, a little unsettled and with a penchant for suckling on any kind of blanket or clothing. Suspectedly taken from her mother too young, cats often seek comfort engaging in such activities.

Adamant not to become attached, back in October, the relationship has developed a little mutual dependency. I think the companionship Daisy has provided for my mum has been good and Daisy seems to have bonded well and settled into life at the Hardy residence. It will be a shame if she does have to leave, for both of their sakes......even if during heat she is to be repeatedly removed from hanging from the top of the large ornate mirror above the mantlepiece!........that would be Daisy, just to clarify!

A quick pastel sketch of the little madame!
